Another interesting mix, some directly transport-related, like the Tern road-test, and some hardly at all. We’re lucky to have Prince Charles’s new town of Poundbury just up the road, because it’s been a valuable source of stories, from town planning to electric buses, and Britain’s first grid-connected bio-gas plant. But there’s not a single bicycle facility in the town, apart from Dorchester’s only Toucan crossing on a short, unsigned length of cycle path. More work required in that department. Elsewhere, we road-test the Tern Verve Duo, and it seems we are now speaking more or less the same language as Jeremy Clarkson. Strange but true, Clarkson is now in favour of practical everyday cycling and against lurid Lycra. Sounds fair enough.
