Castle Cary
Railway Station

Routes to the station on FOOT

ROUTES: The best access from the town centre is along Florida Street, which can be found off Bailey Hill close to the Post Office. Continue along the footpath beside the playing fields, cross Florida Field into Priory View, follow the footpath at the end to the church, turn left down the steps, then swing right onto Lower Ansford Road. Follow this road to the main road. Directly across the road is a footpath leading to the station footbridge. Please note that the 'kissing gate' just prior to the bridge is not is not usable by wheelchairs, bicycles or large pushchairs.
Alternatively, there is a footpath alongside Station Road, the B3152. At the junction with the A371, cross the main road to join the pavement on the far side. There are no other crossings, and this one is very dangerous, particularly when walking from the station. The pavement is rough in parts and can be overgrown in summer.
