PRIMARY ROUTES:
Buses run from Castle Cary railway station to Castle Cary town centre, Shepton Mallet, Wincanton, and Street, plus Bruton and Yeovil (both generally more easily accessible by train). Buses are slow and some routes are circuitous (Wincanton via Bruton can take more than 40 minutes). Connections with trains are quite rare too (see below).

BUS STOPS:
The Service 1 bus to the Bath & West Showground andShepton Mallet stops on the far side of the road from the station exit. Standing here is HIGHLY DANGEROUS - travellers should wait at the station entrance, indicate clearly to the driver, and cross to board the bus when the road is clear.
