NAME: Helen Whyte

AGE: Over 30!

STATUS: Illustrator. Looks for the comic side of a story.

SPECIALIST SUBJECT: Pen and ink cartoons and illustrations. Also works in watercolour, with particular interest in architecture.

BACKGROUND: Born in Scotland sometime towards the end of the last millenium. Degree in Painting from Edinburgh College of Art. Previously trained and qualified as Graphic Technician, and has worked as an educational book illustrator. Works to commission in pen and ink and watercolour.

OTHER WORK/INTERESTS: Gardening - growing all sorts of organic fruit and veg. A little self-sufficiency endevour! I also enjoy making mosaics, when I'm not in my garden or working, and I enjoy the occasional round of golf (but only when the weather's good).

TRANSPORT: In order of journey length: Shanks' Pony, Connection 18 Town & Trail bike (once had a pair of Dahon Tailwinds and a Sinclair Zeta, which now resides in the loft), small Fiat (car, sorry), train.
